Isn’t it good to be?

Standard

Here

Right here

Is where you touch me

Where no human hand could ever reach

My core

My Soul

Testing convictions

Taunting and flaunting against my judgment

And I smile against my need

And drive me further in

To taste your mind

And sip from lips

so wryly set to grin

————————————–

Milk and honeyed words

Lay soft against my tongue

And do you not yet leave me

The night is still fresh young

I say with no conviction

As I can hear the birds

Sing songs against my window

Herald awakenings to the world

Upon me it’s been dawning

How full my heart can be

As both my mouths are yawning

One with sleep and one with need

  1. I like this happy upbeat mood you’ve swung into the past while Kila. Everything I’m reading’s bringing up a smile – and these certainly continue that trend of the soothing touch of romance and longing. Ah, young love! *chuckles*

And as for the “as both my mouths are yawning, one with sleep and one with need” you know you could help the first by going to bed earlier! Of course, I suppose fulfillment of the second could help with the sleepiness that would in turn help satisfy the first yawning so…

But I digress. Warm, upbeat, inviting.

  2. You know, Kila, even going back, looking at your old words, trickles of moments, of thoughts and notions and power your pen has always commanded…I hope you know, even if I too rarely said it, how much your words always inspired. It makes me dearly yearn for this upbeat Kila once again, for that brave woman with the simple goal to, “Bring bravado back, BEHOLD!”

The world is less without your voice issuing from it.
